Loving Kindness Meditation
The following is a simple meditation that you can practice daily.
It will bring calm to the body and open the heart.
The phrases are repeated to yourself five times each (or more if you feel like it).
In the beginning, you will probably have to keep your eyes open to learn this practice. Scroll down and read through the exercise to familiarize yourself with the steps.
To begin...
Close your eyes, breathe normally.
Think of someone you barely know or maybe someone you saw on the street today. Bring their image to your mind and then to your heart. Say the following:
May they be happy
May they be safe
May they have all that they need
